1) a - List the features of your chosen director's work
b) Write about which of these aspects you plan to include in your own short film
2) On scrap paper plan a stick figure, 10 sequence storyboard for your own short film
N.B: if you are stuck for ideas for this begin by basing it on song lyrics - your ideas should NOT be a literal interpretation of the lyrics, rather a REPRESENTATION of the ideas in the song.

Wicked TV video tips
http://www.tki.org.nz/r/wick_ed/wickedtv/index.php
Have a go at sending something in here!!! You can book cameras from Mr Richards at computer office and once you've paid your materials fees I'll go buy some tapes - you should each have a digital tape you use for the year.
Check out the short films - do a google search and see what other ones you can find; research your 'artist model' director.

Friday 10 feb
Work for today is to peruse this blog (which I naturally think is one of the world's best!) On the sidebar there are links to some useful sites and throughout the blog are readings that you need to print out and include in your collection of readings - as you read each one highlight points and summarise the main ideas. For a great place to revise shot types etc go to http://filmsite.org/filmterms2.html - this is the best reference I've come across so far for specific terminology stuff. Learn this lot and you're well on the way to being an awesome film buff - try testing each other on them. See you next week and be good to Mr Wallace.
